An old manganese mine, started in 1888 and worked with interruptions until 1924. It worked a deposit of manganese oxides which occurs along the boundary between Zechstein dolomite and overlying sandstone. Some overgrown dumps remain in the forest on the southwest slope of Stutz mountain. The entrance to the deep adit, which was located at the head of the small valley northwest of Rohrbach, has been obliterated.
