A summit and weathered remnant of granitic plutons. A broad, sloping upland dome, with a proximate volcanic field of Pleistocene cinder cones, in the Mojave Desert near Cima, just SW of the Ivanpah Mountains. It rises 1,500 feet (460 meters) above the volcanic plain, 2,132 to 4,950 feet (650 to 1,509 meters) high, and covers approximately 70 square miles (180 km2).
