Location: This district is in the eastern San Bernardino Mountains. There are a number of small lode-gold mines and prospects, most of which have been idle for many years.
Geology: The deposits are shallow and consist of narrow quartz veins containing free gold, often abundant sulfides, and scheelite. Country rock is granite, limestone, and schist.
