Located 2.7 kilometres east south-east of the government battery site. A marked tourist site on maps. The lease contains a number of prominent quartz reefs, parallel, 0.15-0.5 metres wide, east-west trending, dipping 15 degrees north. There are seven shallow shafts north of the outcropping reefs. The Footwall veins are in graphitic schist. The upper parts of the reef contain cuprite, malachite staining, un-named sulphides, and gold.
The mine dates from around 1896. It produced 248.05 ounces of gold averaging 21.77 g/t.
