Located 2.5 kilometres north-east of the government battery site. It is first noted under this name in 1904, then more mining 1907-1910. It may have been active before 1904, under a different un-known name.

The mine is found at the intrusive contact of retrograde tonalite of the Atnarpa Complex, and a raft of quartz rich metasediment of the Cavanagh Metamorphics. It contains a number of discordant quartz reefs, and 'sausage' like quartz blows, trending east-west. A number of costeans have historically been dug on the lease. The reefs dip 60 degrees south, with a sharp contact with the quartz rich metasediments.

The reefs in the oxidised upper areas of iron stained quartz contain coarse grained pyrite, minor galena, calcite, siderite, epidote, and malachite in vugs and veinlets with gold.

The mine has produced 69.76 ounces of gold averaging 13.40 g/t.
