Mining area located in the valley of Zanca stream (Torrente Zanca or Fosso Zanca), to the east of Fenice Capanne mine.

Mining operations, that started in Etruscan times and ceased in 1943, exploited a main mineralised quartz lode and its apophyses, known as Filone di Montoccoli (from Podere Montoccoli, a farm located at the southern end of the Zanca stream valley), occurring all along the valley.
