Coastal exposures of basalt at the mouth of Halls Harbour Brook, with cliffs to the east and west.
There are several names for the shoreline between Hall's Harbour and McLeod Point / Long Beach, however because they do not refer to exactly the same location but partly overlap, they are not included in the locality string. These include from west (i.e. Hall's Harbour) to east:
Cranberry Point - see Hall's Harbour
Square Cove - see Hall's Harbour
Race Point - see Hall's Harbour
Sheffield Vault Bluff - see Hall's Harbour
McLeod Bluff - see Long Beach
Long Beach - see Long Beach
McLeod Point - see Long Beach
The mineralogy is the same along this whole stretch, dominated by laumontite and stilbite, with smaller amounts of the other minerals.
