Selenium minerals deposit (see sublocalities).
The mixture of selenium minerals, such as naumannite and clausthalite, from Sierra de Cacheuta is known as "Cacheutita". Localities were found in 1860-1862. The veins were found at less than ten meters depth and have subsequently been lost. Geographically, the occurrence was located on the right bank of the Rio de Mendoza, where it came from the Sierra de Cacheuta in the West. The mines were on the southern slope of the mountain range, a few leguas (miles) from the river.
