Medieval silver and copper producer.
Stratiform galena-sphalerite mineralisation with later siderite metasomatism and larger-scale disseminated copper overprint (Földessy et al., 2009).

The copper mineralization began with crystallization of fahlore continued with bornite, and the final mineral phase was chalcopyrite replacing the previous ones. Oxidation and late-stage hydrothermal mineralization remobilized the base metals from the altered minerals of this and previous mineralizations, producing polymetallic supergene enrichments (Németh et al., 2017).

The mining area (including many open pits and dumps) has a length of about 10 km.
