Boiling Well Mine is mentioned in www.jb-0.com/documents/SmithArsenic.pdf as a mine that used to produce copper, lead, zinc and silver. One of the adits was used as a land drain for the old dynamite works and munitions factory.
In the Hayle Historical Assessment (www.historic-cornwall.org.uk/cisi/hayle/hayle_historic_assessment_report.pdf) Boiling Well Mine is said to have been working before 1815, was worked again 1821-56 (closed 1862).
In Footloose in Hayle (www.hayletowncouncil.net/documents/FootlooseinHayle-3.pdf) it is said that: to be found on the National Explosives site are the shafts of the Boiling Well Mine (8). Opened and abandoned at least three times between 1815 and 1862, Boiling Well produced 3906 tons of Copper Ore, 410 tons of Lead and 5,000 ounces of Silver during its working life. See also www.hayletowncouncil.net/documents/RailwayBookCompletewithMaps-ready.pdf.
I haven't been successful in finding a reference to Boiling Well Smelter although there were a number of smelters in the area.
