A small former surface and underground W mine located in sec. 2, T16S, R22E, 1.5 miles S of Johnson Camp.
Mineralization is hosted in Tertiary Texas Canyon Quartz Monzonite. The ore body is tabular and 60.96 meters long and 0.3 meters thick. Lodes are up to 3 feet wide and several hundred feet long. There are conspicuous N- to NW-trending small quartz veins and lodes in the eastern outcrops of the quartz monzonite in this general area which are barren of low in W.
Local structures include Tertiary block faulting trending NNW. Regionally, Late Cretaceous or Early Tertiary N- to NW-trending folds and thrust faults override to the NE.
This location was formerly also known as the "Boulder Claims Group".
Workings include one 40 foot incline. There are numerous open cuts 5 to 15 feet deep.
