A former small underground Pb-Ag-Au mine/set of prospects located in the center S½ sec. 12, and sec. 13, T20S, R27E, about 1.8 miles north of Swisshelm Mountain. Located by Parker around 1935. Produced 1937-1941. Operated by Ona Reynolds, et al (1947 - ?).
Mineralization is a replacement deposit in Naco Group Limestone with irregular ore bodies. Ore control was fault and fracture zones. Alteration was strong.
Deposit is on the upthrown side of a NW-trending fault. The Pennsylvanian Naco Group strikes NW. NNW thrust faults in the Swisshelms overthrust Pennsylvanian Naco Group over rhyolite porphyry.
The shaft was located near the southern boundary of sec. 12; the last shaft upstream; adjoins the Scribner Mine. About 18 tons of crude ore (circa 1947).
