Пучеж-Катунская астроблема
The first astrobleme (impact crater) discovered on territory of USSR (in 1965). It is located about 80 km North of Nizhnii Novgorod. The 100 km wide crater has formed within Carbon-lower Trias rocks and is covered by middle Jurassic clay beds. The estimated age of the astrobleme is 167 Ma. In modern relief it is invisible.
