Located in the Northern Broken Hill Block.
One of the largest known of the Broken Hill type Zn/Pb/Ag deposits found in the Parnell formation. Located on the spur of a small ridge circled by Parnell Creek on "Nine Mile" Pastoral Station, the mine is reached via a track that leaves the Nine Mile Road 14km north of Broken Hill. The mine has been worked intermittently from 1988-1971. Rehabilitation in the 1990s pushed dump material back into the deep shafts to stop stock falling in.
