In 1914, Merrill reported that the Center Drive lode mining claim, belonged to M. M. Sickler of Pala.
In 1951, Jahns described the main cut of the prospect as located at an elevation of approximately 1198' AMSL, situated on a probable upper eastern extension of the Katerina pegmatite dike system.
