Mined from 1939 to 1955 and from 1983-present.
Located about 15 miles (ca. 24 km) west north-west of Huntington and about 34 miles (ca. 55 km) southeast of Fairview. The mine is within Crandall Canyon in the Wasatch Plateau Coal Field and is surrounded by the Manti-La Sal National Forest.
