Description: The one and only report of Phlogoptite ever suggested from this locality, where all previous studies of the local geology would suggest that any presence of the species would have long since altered to Vermiculite. Visually, the specimen is an exact match to the local Clinochlore (TL), the bench-mark for the species, and this sample had perviously been identified as such. Validity of I.D. questioned.

Description: old varietal name 'Jeffersite'. Named after famed Chester Co. collector William Jefferies, whose collection formed the core of the Carnegie Museum collection. The occurrence from this locale was later determined to be Vermiculite and this new species was invalidated .
