Notes on the mineral list:
George Favreau, Mindat messageboard post on 11-03-2008 (http://www.mindat.org/mesg-7-90318.html): "I am very dubious about the sulfides included in the Riviéral mineral list. I never saw most of them (except sphalerite), but they were abundant in other places of the district, especially the open cut mines in dolomites/conglomerates (Mas d’Alary, Les Mares…): bournonite, chalcopyrite, galena, marcasite,... The same applies for the carbonates, such as azurite, cerussite, dolomite, malachite. In the nearby locality of La Plane, some carbonates were found, mainly in septaria (siderite, calcite), but in Riviéral the carbonates seemed rare (maybe a little rutherfordine). I wonder whether some specimens from other localities could have been labelled as “Riviéral"? specimens."
