Located about 52 km SE of Erfoud. The most important vein is the Contamine vein (Filon Contamine) which is about 40 m thick and can be followed for about 7 km. Large baryte crystals to 46 x 16 x 20 cm have been reported from this area.
The M’fis mining area is a large polymetallic deposit that is rich with galena, pyrite, chalcopyrite, barite, goethite and pyrolusite.
