The term "Camp Robin area" is a name used by local gem dealers and refers an area with a rare element miarolitic pegmatite field that extends in NE-SW direction for about 40 km, roughly, but not precise, between the small towns of Ambatofinandrahana and Ambohimahasoa (Pezzotta 2006). The area is situated in two different regions, in the Amohimasina District in the Haute Matsiatra Region and in the Manandriana District in the Amoron'i Mania Region.
