In the original description of monazite-(Nd) the type locality is not correct: it is reported as Monte Clogstafel; although it is not so far from Monte Giove, it was indicated to obscure the correct locality.

NOTE: specimens believed to be gadolinite-(Y) instead were shown by EDS-analysis to be hingganite-(Y) (see Demartin et al., 1993).

Cuchet at al. (2104) showed significant parallels between the Mt. Giove mineralization and the REE-mineralized quartz-feldspar nodules from the Ritterpass/Binntal region.
