Alverson Strontium Mine; La Conner Mine
A strontium mine near the town of La Conner. It was developed by a short adit and a stope. Several hundred tons of ore were shipped during World War 1.
Note: The reference of Hornesite attributed to La Conner in Palache, Berman, & Frondel (1951) is semi erroneous. The material occurs at the Alverson Mine, which is somewhat near La Conner.
