Carbonaceous chondrite (CM2; S1)
Fall, 6 April 1942; 2.536 g
After the meteorite fell quietly into the snow on the farm Pollen in Northern Norway it was picked up. Later analyzed by Wiik (1956) Weight: 253,6 gram, density 2,574. Largest dimensions: 7,9 X 5,3 X 5 cm.
An Al26 cosmic-ray exposure age of only ~1 Ma is somewhat unusual.
The coordinates given by Wolff (1963) seems to be erronous. Some sources place the fall inside the municipality of Nesna. Both the Nordsjona and Pollen are locality names in the Rana municipality.
