Disseminated-style (Carlin-type) and laterite-type gold mineralizations, overlapping each other in space. They are low temperature, epithermal systems controlled by steeply dipping faults, with some mineralization developed on a surficial 'karst fill' residual breccia located on the unconformity between Jurassic and Permian rocks. The main ore-controlling structure is the Shangmanggang fault, a northeast-trending, high-angle, northwest dipping normal fault, which juxtaposes Middle Jurassic sediments and Permian dolomites and has been traced for a length of 13 km. Gold ore bodies are located at its northeast end, where a large area of hydrothermal alteration, mostly silicification, has been noted.
