A paleo-quarry in rhyodacite and dacite comprised of purple, dark gray, or black heterolithic volcanic breccia, tuff breccia, lapilli tuff, and crystal-lithic tuff containing abundant intermediate to mafic pyroclastic fragments as well as more abundant felsic ones. Phenocrysts are plagioclase plus local K-feldspar. Amygdules of quartz plus epidote are also present. (Stoddard in Steponaitis et al).
