Large-scale polymetallic Pb-Zn-Cu-(Ag-Au) vein and stockwork deposit, hosted in a NS-trending moderate ductile shear zone developed at the contact zone between Early Yanshan coarse-grained K feldspar granite and Paleoproterozoic metamorphic rocks of the Hongqiyingzhi Group. The contact between the orebodies and the host rocks consist of 4 alteration zones: (1) silica alteration + hydromica alteration + pyrite alteration; (2) sericite alteration + chlorite alteration; (3) chlorite alteration + carbonate alteration; (4) kaolinite alteration + carbonate alteration. The ore mineral deposition shows close relation to silica alteration. The origin of the deposit is under debate.

Regional Geology
