Located in the Paleozoic uplift along the southern margin of Tuha basin in eastern Xinjiang, in the superimposed Mesozoic volcanic basin upon the northern part of the Late Paleozoic Dananhu-Tousuquan accretionary arc. The deposit is controlled by NWW-, SN- and EW-trending faults. Host rock is mainly a rhyolitic-dacitic ignimbrite, but Cu-Au mineralization is closely related to quartz porphyry, rhyolitic porphyry and granitic porphyry. Ore-forming styles are dominantly veinlet-disseminations and veinlets, and occasionally stockworks. Hydrothermal alterations are mainly silicfication, sericitization, alunitization, pyrophyllitization, illitization, hydromuscovitization and chloritization.
