红山金铜矿, 哈密市, 哈密地区, 新疆维吾尔自治区, 中国


Transitional high sulphidation-epithermal to porphyry type gold-copper deposit, hosted in rhyolitic-dacitic ignimbrites in the Kalatage Mesozoic volcanic basin. The mineralization is closely related to quartz porphyry, rhyolitic porphyry and granitic porphyry. Mineralization styles are dominantly veinlet-disseminated and veinlet, occasionally stockwork.

The deposit has a thick oxidation zone that extends to a depth of 50-60 m. It is predominantly composed of sulfate minerals.
