Medium-scale granitoid-related vein-type gold deposit, consisting of more than 150 gold alteration veins in Neoproterozoic strata. The veins trend NS and NW and are generally 10-100 m long, and 0.5-5 m wide. From the bottom to top, the host rocks are: (1) mica quartz schist (Jiageda formation), leucogranulitite, and metadiabase; (2) dolomitic marble (lower part of the E'erguna River formation), crystalline limestone with meta-sandstone, and slate; (3) meta-sandstone (upper part of the Eerguan River formation), slate with crystalline limestone, and marble. Variscan biotite adamellite outcrops to the south of the mining area. Gold mainly occurs in slate of the Jiageda Formation, and is mainly associated to silica and pyrite alteration. The belt trends NNE, is about 7 km long and 1-2 km wide. The deposit is fault-controlled.
