Detailed Mineral List:
ⓘ Adamite Formula: Zn2(AsO4)(OH) Localities: Habit: globular Colour: emerald green Description: Cooper & Stanley (1990): "Very small quantities of a minutely globular emerald green mineral were recently found on the dump from the cross-cut at [NY31303655] associated with agardite-mixite and aurichalcite. The green mineral gave an x-ray powder pattern near to cuprian adamite (M.P. Cooper Collection; det. BM(NH): XRD)." |
ⓘ 'Agardite' Localities: Habit: fibrous sprays Colour: pale green; pale blue Description: Specimens collected by B. Young from the dump of a cross-cut to the Deer Hills baryte lode [NY31303655] show minute pale green sprays (< 0.7mm) on quartz. In addition to Ce, La, and Nd the fibrous crystals contained some Bi. More recently found as minute pale blue fibrous crystals with a mineral near cuprian adamite and aurichalcite (M.P. Cooper Collection; det. BM(NH): XRD). |
ⓘ Agardite-(La) Formula: LaCu6(AsO4)3(OH)6 · 3H2O |
