An abandoned underground Cobalt (+As, Cu) mine, located 153 km SE of Mount Isa and 140km S of Mt Isa. It was discovered in 1919 and produced 766 tons of cobalt from 1921 - 1934, from about 2000t of ore (Day & Beyer, 1995).

The deposit contains sulphides and fracture fillings in a sheared contact between a metadolerite sill (footwall) and quartzite and quartz-biotite-muscovite schist (hanging wall). There are also disseminated sulphides hosted in the metadolerite/amphibolite (Day & Beyer, 1995).

Famous amongst collectors for erythrite specimens, but the dumps are now reportedly highly picked over with little interesting material to be found. The underground workings are reportedly accessible only via a dangerous shaft.
