Ref.: New York State Museum Bull. Nos. 249-250 (Sep-Oct 1921), Magnetic Iron Deposits of SE NY, Clarke, John M.: Index Map, 44 & 105-106. An iron mine in magnetite ore located about 1½ miles NE of the Forest of Dean mine and 1 mile SE of Long Pond (approx. 3½ miles NW of Fort Montgomery). One of the Forest of Dean group of mines. Reopened in 1919. Workings featured a slope and drift.
