Note on the Madagascar labradorite:
The polished labradorite specimens from Madagascar, often labelled as coming from "Tulear" or "Atsimo-Andrefana Region" or just "Madagascar" all originates from several quarries, all in anorthosite bodies, in the Ampanihy district, in the Fotadrevo commune, and in the Maniry commune respectively.
