Ancient copper, silver and lead mines, worked intermittently from the 16th until the 18th century.
The veins consist mainly of quartz and baryte, with minor calcite and ankerite, and include polymetallic sulphide mineralisations. They are hosted by a wedge of Climont gneiss, intercalating schists of the Villé series, and are situated just east of the so-called Lalaye-Lubine suture zone, in which the Villé schists contact gneisses of the Urbeis series.
Located 5 km east of Colroy-la-Grande and about 20 km ENE of Saint Dié.
