Uranium occurence near the summit of Bella Tola, a mountain that reaches a height of 3,025 m asl (Swiss coordinates 616´595 / 120´870). The mineralisation is hosted in gneiss of the Precambrian basement of the Siviez-Mischabel Nappe (Penninic domain), just a few meters below the contact with the Triassic quartzite and arkoses, which form the summit of Bella Tola. Disseminated mineralisation with crosscutting Alpine veins.
Cr-bearing muscovite (muscovite var. fuchsite) occurrence to the east of the summit of Bella Tola. The mineral forms pale green decimetric masses in Triassic arkoses.
