Four pipes in the area were drilled by Ellendale Resources in 2003, this one the only named and described. It is a small concealed lamproite pipe covering 6.3 Ha. It is composed mainly of pyroclastic material, cut by leucite lamproite veins and dykes. Sampling only produced 37 small diamonds.
