Basalts and interbedded conglomerates.
The coordinates for this locality were selected arbitrarily. The specimens were collected at various remote locations both east and west of Copper Harbor over a long period of time. The Lakeshore Traps are basalt flows that are integral within the Copper Harbor Conglomerate. The Macrostrat map outlines two of these flows in Keweenaw County. There is at least one more flow under Lake Superior that is not shown.
