Locality: 14.4 kms south of Mangaroon Homestead. 1.6 kilometres north of the Star of Mangaroon gold mine.
An abandoned mine.

North trending shear zones, one to ten metres wide. Narrow high grade mineralisation in quartz vein stockwork in quartz-feldspar-biotite gneiss, containing galena, cerussite, malachite, azurite, chrysocolla, covellite, cuprite, scheelite, pyrite, un-named copper oxilates, tungstate minerals, and gold. The veins are up to 30 cms thick, dipping 10-15 degrees east. Grades reach 75% lead, but averages 15%.

Hornblende-epidote-quartz pegmatoids are associated in mafic lopoliths within the shear zones, containing chalcopyrite and pyrite, with anomalous Cu, Pb, Au, Ag.

The site contains an open cut 9 metres deep. Intermittent mining historically. Records only noted across 1956-1960 producing 8.43 tonnes of lead, 141.6 kg copper, 3937 grams silver, and 1524 grams gold.

Some sheds or a shack is a little to the east of the mine. It can be accessed by heading east from the Mangaroon Homestead along the Ullawarra-Cobra Gifford Creek road, then north to the Star of Mangaroon Gold Mine, before continuing north north-west.
