Mesodevonian (Givetian-Frasnian) carbonate series.

Mineralization in normal longitudinal EW fractures.

Deposition due to fracture reopening and pressure fall (general distension).

Note: Hatert et al. (2002) list the locality as "Sourd-d'Ave". The "Rue du Sourd d'Ave" lies to the northeast of the quarry.

It is not allowed to enter the quarry, and the quarry management does not give any permits.
