A uranium prospect in the Michigamme Fm. Lower Slate. The mineralized slate and quartzite crops out as a picturesque waterfall and canyon walls in the East Branch Huron River. This outcrop represents a thrust fault between the slate and quartzite. Meteoric waters percolating through this fault zone have deposited minerals leached from surrounding rock.
