Located 40 km east of Roebourne.

Cu-Ni. Discovered by Australian Inland Exploration (Texasgulf) in 1967.

Exploration tenements form a narrow west south-west to east north-east band, split by the Sherlock River. For several years, Australian Resources Ltd has promoted the mining possibilities of the site. Its major shareholder is recently fallen Queensland oligarch Clive Palmer. Estimated resources is 25.4 Mt @ 0.4% Ni. Its large and low grade. Anything under 1% needs a substantial rise in nickel prices to be viable.

Two small low ridges containing chert, chrysocolla, malachite staining on the northern margin of the western ridge. One kilometre west south-west of Symond Well. The deposit contains two east north-east trending zones.

Both are vertical to steep north dipping, as a lenticular belt 12 kilometres long by one kilometre wide, enclosed by gneissic and deformed granitoid rocks. Hosted by cream to pale grey-green foliated, laminated tuff.

The mineralised area contains quartz, actinolite, calcite, dolomite, apatite, stilpnomelane, biotite, garnet, chlorite, magnetite, and sulphides in layers. The best mineralisation is on the northern Hanging Wall side. Sulphides include pyrrhotite, with lesser pyrite, minor pentlandite, and chalcopyrite. Cu-Pb-Zn values in some layers.
