Located 19 km east south east of North Pole.
Associated with high level porphyritic felsic dyke swarm one kilometre across, and potassic/carbonate alteration zone in the Apex Basalt, characterised with cockade, comb, and crustiform banding.
The prospect consists of disseminated, stringer, vein, and hydrothermal breccia mineralisation, with mainly Zn, Pb, Cu, As, Ag, Sb, and Au signatures. There is an early stage of pyrite and chalcopyrite development, followed by sphalerite, galena, tetrahedrite, silver and gold mineralisation.
The alteration assemblage shows two distinct phases. An early quartz-muscovite-pyrophyllite-pyrite-rutile-phlogopite, and later ankerite-siderite-quartz.
Another source states water worn alluvial gold is found in the area, the gold associated with cinnabar. It was discovered in 1912, as the first occurrence of cinnabar located in Western Australia. The base metal deposit was discovered in 1983, and has been explored by several companies.
At the time of writing minor exploration tracks criss-cross the area, but little evidence of major exploration work could be seen.
