Stratiform Zn-Cu in black carbonaceous pyritic shale. The source states there is an A and B prospect, another prospect 1, 2 and 3a. Patchy ironstone gossan contains chrysocolla, malachite, goslarite, sphalerite, and covellite in the Kiangi Creek Formation. The siltstone and shale matrix shows sphalerite associated with pyrite in veins. Near surface enrichment of stibarsen, diopside, malachite, azurite, chalcopyrite, marcasite, pyrite, covellite and sphalerite, down to 15 metres from the surface. Explored by Westfield in 1961-1967.
Prospect 3a Cu-Zn in pyritic black shale, Copper dominates the upper areas, zinc lower. Grades sporadic. Surface shows disseminated and joint fillings of malachite and azurite.
The Mindat co-ordinates mark the geographic Mount Palgrave only, which the deposit is named after.
