A talc/soapstone occurrence/mine located 16 miles West of Little Rock.
Mineralization is hosted in serpentinized ultrabasic igneous rocks in Womble Shale of Bigfork Chert.
Workings include surface openings comprised of open cuts and pits.
Geology: Nickel found As a minor occurrence in sulfides (pyrrhotite a pyrite) and in silicate (serpentine). Nickel derived from vine, present in original ultrabasic intrusive, during serpentization.
