A consolidated iron mining operation of the M. A. Hanna Co. Through closure in 1969, the Homer-Wauseca Group and predecessors had shipped 31.5 million tons of ore. The major component mines of this operation consisted of the Homer Mine, the Cardiff Mine, and the Wauseca Mine. Consolidation occurred in 1941.
