The mine is located approximately 1km southeast of the El Solar mine.

References to the El Solar shaft of the Guerrero Mine may simply be a shaft connecting the two mines.

The El Solar shaft is at an elevation of 1,730m above sea level.

The principal ore vein of the mine is the Guerrero Mine was the El Cobre vein.

Other veins within the mine are the Esperanza and Hueyapa veins.
