Old feldspar quarry 7 km west of Vigeland. A granite pegmatite hosted in farsundite (a hornblende bearing quartz monzonite) quarried for feldspar.
Now abandoned.

Approximately 1950 tons of feldspar and at least 700 tons of quartz were produced between 1916 and 1956, during three separate periods of operation.

The coordinates are an approximation based upon the map at https://lindesneshistorielag.wordpress.com/2008/10/05/historielagstur-til-romteland-gruve/

The locality is invisble at both the altitude map and aerial photographs.

Barth (1931) describes this locality, and mentions the presence of microcline crystals with a length of 2 m.

The NGU has the following coordinates for a feldspar locality called Rømteland:

58.0898230,7.2210450
