Tenney states that "[t]he Whitehorse Copper Belt is a northwest trending zone of copper bearing skarns 30 kilometers long about 5 km west of the city of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Whitehorse Copper Mines [up to 1980] controls a single block of over 700 mining claims effectively covering the belt".
