In this small quarry, the upper zone of a baryte-quartz-fluorite vein was exposed, including a mineralisation similar to the veins mined at Orschwiller. From this vein, fine specimens of purple, pink, colourless and, rarely, green fluorite were recovered. Baryte, calcite, and quartz were also observed in vugs in the limestone.

Located close to the gypsum mine. The quarry was converted into a waste disposal site some years ago and, after it was backfilled, into a vineyard.

(Note by Bill Dameron, after a visit with Sylvie Spielmann. The quarry hasn't existed for many years. All the level ground is Sylvie Spielmann's highly regarded organic vineyard. Limited collecting still takes place (with permission) at the edge of the vineyard, mostly for micros of fluorite, pyrite, barite, and quartz. Not important, but a more accurate designation might be Domaine Sylvie Spielmann, Bergheim (the very close village).)
