Located about 25 km SSW of Erfoud/Arfoud
Rissani is a small village a few Km to the west of Erfoud that specializes in the production of a particular kind of trilobite fossil specimens. They are quarried out of a mountain side a short distance from town. Blocks of limestone containing the trilobites are carried down into town and prepared for sale using rudimentary hand tools (Rock Currier info).
